place DAYS 1 - 2 - Delhi

Delhi

Land into India’s great capital and experience a cosmopolitan city with a rich history stretching over thousands of years. You’ll explore Delhi’s old and new iconic sites including the red sandstone Jama Masjid, historic India Gate, 12th century Qutab Minar, stunning Humayun’s Tomb, and Raj Ghat where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated. Take a thrilling rickshaw ride through the narrow lanes of the bustling Chandni Chowk market.

place DAY 3 - Agra

Agra

A four hour drive brings you to the city of Agra where you visit the imposing Agra Fort, the dramatic city within a city demonstrating a wonderful combination of exquisite Persian and Hindu architectural styles. There’s an option to visit the Sheroes Hang Out, a café run by female acid attack survivors. The following day, start early for a visit to the splendid Taj Mahal at sunrise, the most glorious time to experience this incredible white marble 17th century monument to eternal love, described by poet Rabindranath Tagore as "a teardrop on the cheek of time". Continue with a drive through India’s countryside towards Jaipur, stopping en route at the UNESCO site of Fatehpur Sik, one of the best-preserved examples of Mughal architecture.

Jaipur

Explore ‘the Pink City’ known for its music, crafts and jewellery. You’ll visit the opulent hill-top Amer Fort, the decorative City Palace and the famous observatory of Jantar Mantar. See the beautiful façade of Hawa Mahal, Palace of the Winds, featuring almost 900 latticed windows. An additional trip to the evening bazaar or an optional cooking class can also be included.

Jodhpur

Drive to charming Jodhpur with its magical palaces, forts and temples. In ‘the Blue City’ the magnificent Mehrangarh Fort awaits you 122 metres above the city, and you’ll also take in the white marble Jaswant Thada, Umaid Bhawan Palace, clock tower area and the colourful Sadar market.

Jawai

Head into the rugged terrain of Jawai, for a two night stay in a luxury tented property. This area is renowned for its great bird watching and nature trails, but in particular it is one of the world’s most exceptional places to see leopards roaming free. Learn about conservation initiatives and take a number of jeep safaris for a good chance to encounter these beautiful elusive cats in the wild.

Udaipur

Continue to the romantic ‘City of Lakes’, stopping en route at the Jain temple of Ranakpur. Explore the vast complex of the City Palace with its glittering crystal gallery, the Jagdish temple, and ornamental gardens of Saheliyon ki Bari. There are options to visit craftsmen and textile workers whose methods have changed little in centuries, or get into the heart of Udaipur with a guided cycle excursion, before enjoying a magical evening boat ride on serene Lake Pichola fringed with hills, ghats and havelis.

place DAYS 12 - 14 - Mumbai

Mumbai

Leave the royal state of Rajasthan and fly south to the vibrant coastal city of Mumbai famed for Bollywood and shopping malls. Explore the Hindu and Buddhist grottoes of the Elephanta Caves, before a visit to beautiful Kamla Nehru Park and Hanging Gardens on the slopes of the Malabar Hills with views over Chowpatty Beach. Visit the pretty Jain temple and Mani Bhawan, where Mahatma Gandhi used to stay. On your final day in this wonderful city take a transfer to the airport for your onward journey.
