Highlights

Beyond the beaches, Jamaica’s vibrant culture and fascinating attractions await.

The great outdoors

In this land of adventure, Port Antonio is considered one of the most beautiful and authentic parts of the island. Take a hiking expedition to glistening waterfalls and hidden caves, go rafting down the Rio Grande on a bamboo raft or take a dip in the natural springs at Reach Falls.

Nature lovers should head for Blue and John Crows Mountain, situated in a national park of the same name, this spectacular wilderness is an area of rich biodiversity.

Jamaica is a diverse destination that can be discovered by land or by water, with a wonderfully varied choice of activities from horseback riding on the beach to jungle river tubing, plantation visits and much, much more.

Sitting at the foot of the Blue Mountains and overlooking the world’s seventh largest harbour, Kingston is Jamaica’s vivacious capital and cultural core. The city has much to offer, including a vibrant theatrical and performing arts scene as well as the Carnival Parade which takes places annually in April.

No trip to Kingston would be complete without a visit to the Bob Marley Museum, and staunch fans can even take a tour of his recording studio.

A taste of the tropics

Jerk Chicken and Jamaica go hand in hand, however there are plenty more island delicacies to try! Curried goat, Ackee and salt-fish are local favourites that can be sampled at Water Square – offering some of the best street food on the island.

Fruit, chicken, pork and lobster are all available from roadside stalls. And for something a little different, Stush in the Bush is an organic farm-to-table Rasta dining experience; walk the farm, learn about the produce and then enjoy some of the best food available on the island in a rustic cabin that has breath-taking views.
